Description

Focusing lenses are optical components designed to focus or diverge light. Focusing lenses, which can consist of single or multiple elements, are used in a wide variety of applications, from microscopy to laser processing systems. Focusing lenses for different wavelengths are made using different materials. Germanium (Ge), silicon (Si) or zinc selenide ( ZnSe ) and zinc sulfide ( ZnS ) lenses are ideal for transmitting the infrared (IR) spectrum, while K9 series optical glasses or ZF and fused silicon are widely used for wavelengths of 1064nm, 808nm, 532nm, 355nm.
