Description

F-theta lenses are also called flat field focusing lenses or linear lenses. Its image height is equal to the focal length multiplied by the scanning angle (y = f * θ). While focusing lenses generally deliver focus to a single point, they deliver a focused point to multiple points in their scanning field. They are commonly used in marking, engraving and cutting systems, etc.
F-theta lenses are also used for focusing laser welding systems, especially in portable welding machines that are becoming increasingly popular.
